| Corporations, LLCs, and registered Limited Partnerships doing business in Texas must continuously maintain a Registered Agent with a physical Texas street address (a PO Box alone does not qualify). The agent may be an individual resident of Texas or an entity authorized to do business in Texas, must be available at that address during normal business hours to accept service of process, and receives official state notices on the entity's behalf. The exact eligibility rules, consent/appointment procedure, and change-of-agent process are set by Texas statute - see the official statute link below for the controlling text. |
